Steinel HL 2010 E Heat Gun - Multi-Purpose Kit
The Steinel 34856 multipurpose kit features the HL 2010 E heat gun, which delivers airstreams at 3.6, 10.6, or 17.6 cubic feet per minute (CFM) and temperatures ranging from 120 to 1,150 degrees Fahrenheit. The gun's temperature can be adjusted in 10-degree increments across the full temperature range at the 10.6 and 17.6 CFM airflow stages, while it is fixed at 120 degrees F at the 3.6 CFM cool air stage. Resembling a hair dryer, the gun has an LCD that displays temperature settings in 10-degree increments and the actual output temperature when set to the cool air stage. Each heating element coil is encapsulated in ceramic to extend its lifespan and provide even heat distribution.
The kit includes reflector nozzles, a reducer nozzle, a plastic welding nozzle, welding rods, and a carrying case for safe transport and storage. The versatile heat gun is suitable for a wide range of applications, from applying shrink tubing and activating adhesives to welding and shaping plastics and other heat-sensitive materials.
Heat guns are hand tools that emit a stream of heated air at variable temperatures up to 1,300 degrees Fahrenheit (700 Celsius). Most models feature an electrical heating element to control output temperatures and an adjustable fan to regulate and focus the airflow. Heat guns with high airflow output (greater than approximately 20 cubic feet per minute) are sometimes called heat blowers. These tools can be used for a variety of applications, including copper and plastic welding, and touching up shrink wrap. Accessory nozzles (sold separately) are used to shape the air stream over a wider area or direct it around pipes and tubing for even heating, preventing adjoining surfaces from overheating.
